Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for spearheading the planning, organization, and execution of all warehouse activities within an expanding multi-user facility. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing operations, minimizing costs, and maximizing productivity while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.
This role requires you to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)In this role, you will:
Lead the entire warehouse operation, encompassing receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
Develop and implement strategic plans to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness, including succession planning strategies for operational continuity.
Establish and enforce warehouse policies and safety protocols to ensure full compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Manage and develop a team of warehouse supervisors, providing the guidance, training, and performance evaluations necessary to support staff growth.
Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and data analysis to identify trends, assess performance against key metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with business development and facilities management to ensure seamless operational integration and support new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in warehouse management, preferably within a 3PL or high-volume distribution environment.
Strong knowledge of WMS and inventory control methodologies, with a proven track record of optimizing operations and reducing costs.
Proven ability in data-driven leadership, using metrics to achieve high performance and outstanding results.
Deep understanding of safety regulations, quality control procedures, and environmental compliance standards.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups and C-level stakeholders.
