Operations Manager

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum plus annual performance bonus, company car or car allowance and pension

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Runcorn, WA7 4DS

What you'll be doing;

  • Supporting the wood recycling operations at the Runcorn and Berkswell sites to ensure the waste treatment facility is operating to standards required by the site permit and development consent order

  • Actively supporting and contributing to the continuous improvement of the Company’s Management Systems.

  • As the Operations Manager, you will manage and support all Veolia employees in the safe operation of the Wood recycling Operations including the controlling and managing of waste inputs.

  • Responsible for the day to day running of the site, health and safety, working towards the site P&L objectives and customer relations

  • Ensuring service delivery, in line with customer expectations.

  • Engaging with interested stakeholders including the wider Veolia Senior Management team, EA, local community and regulators.

What we're looking for;

  • Experienced people manager and experience of managing change and ability to inspire a team.

  • Previous experience of wood treatment plant and equipment and an understanding of other associated plant and vehicles that may be used on site.

  • Previous operational and administrative experience gained in a similar industry.

  • CoTC for Non-Hazardous Treatment.

  • Basic safety qualification.

  • An understanding of Environmental legislation and experience of dealing with the EA.

  • Good communication skills communicating with people of all levels. 

  • Ability to organise resources and follow through objectives.

  • Working with a quality management system e.g. ISO.

  • Current driving licence.
