The role
As a pivotal member of the connectivity team, you will report to the team leader and play a crucial role in mentoring, developing, and overseeing a dedicated team of apprentice network engineers. Your responsibilities will also include upholding exceptional customer service standards for CSOC- Connectivity Squad ticket resolutions. This position is ideal for a network engineer who has a passion for sharing knowledge and providing mentorship, and is seeking an initial opportunity to lead.
What will I be doing?
- Responsible for developing, mentoring and supervising a small team of apprentice engineers while being supported by the Network Support Team Leader.
- Ticket allocation and queue management for the CSOC Connectivity Squad.
- Raising tickets from different sources such as monitoring, emails and customer phone calls
- Escalating to carriers for circuit problems
- Triage of incidents before escalation to Network Support
- Delivery of a series of pre-set standard changes
- Management of low priority tickets to resolution where skills allow
What will I bring to the role?
- Previous experience working in an MSP environment
- Previous experience in networking support; firewalls, switches, carriers
- Passion for technical knowledge
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and tenacity
- Enthusiasm for providing outstanding customer support via phone call and ticketing systems
- A highly motivated and hardworking attitude
- A team player attitude with the willingness to help others
- Thirst for leadership progression
