Job Responsibilities:
DESCRIPTION: MRO/COMMODITY BUYER
location: Belleville
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to maintain an approved supply base.
• Preparation of RFQ packages
• Analysis of supplier quotations
• Recommend sourcing decisions based on cost, quality, delivery and financial stability
• Negotiation of all commercial aspects of material / component, indirect and services purchases.
• Drive supplier cost savings through on-going negotiations.
• Support program launches through participation in the PDP process
• Maintain purchasing records, process internal eRequisitions and issue Purchase Orders as required.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post-secondary Diploma/Degree in Business Administration
• Minimum of 3 -5 years purchasing experience
• Automotive purchasing experience considered an asset.
• Capital & Equipment purchasing experience considered an asset.
• PMAC certification an asset

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft office; including Word, Excel, Power Point, Minitab, etc.)

Physical Demands

• Normal amount of sitting and standing;
• Ability to move around an office environment and on the production floor;
• Ability to work at a computer workstation;
• Ability to bend, twist, lift, reach, puch, pull.
• Ability to lift max. 75lbs periodically.
• Ability to multitask

This position will require a certain amount of training both in-house and off-site. The person who accepts the position will be expected to follow a learning curve with continuous development.
