What you will do:

As M&A Manager, you will be pivotal in driving Johnson Controls' growth strategy through strategic mergers and acquisitions. You will lead efforts to identify potential acquisition targets, conduct thorough due diligence, negotiate favourable deal terms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of acquired entities. Your insights and expertise will guide our market analysis to uncover strategic opportunities that align with our vision of a smarter, more sustainable future.

How you will do it:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential acquisition targets that align with our strategic goals.
  • Lead due diligence efforts, ensuring a thorough financial analysis, risk assessment, and operational review of targets.
  • Negotiate terms of acquisition, fostering relationships with external advisors and stakeholders to maximize value.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and operational teams to structure and finalize successful deals.
  • Develop and present compelling acquisition proposals to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting strategic benefits.
  • Support the integration of acquired companies, driving initiatives that achieve our strategic objectives and enhance operational efficiencies.

What we look for:

Essential:

  • Mergers and Acquisition experience as demonstrated by deal volume
  • Experience in M&A project management including working with multiple stakeholders including, HR, legal and strategic integration team.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in leading due diligence processes and negotiations, showcasing your strategic acumen.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across diverse teams.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or relevant finance qualification CIMA / ACA / ACCA
  • Experience in the technology or industrial sector, with a passion for innovation.
