APL Media Limited, the publisher of National Geographic Traveller (UK), is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented media sales executive to join its Kentish Town-based team.
As Media Sales Executive, you’ll report directly to the director of sales – National Geographic Traveller (UK). You’ll be focusing on developing new business relationships for National Geographic Traveller (UK) through sourcing, developing and selling advertising campaigns to a range of both public and private sector clients across a range of industries.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Selling advertising campaigns to run in National Geographic Traveller (UK)
- Working with other members of the team to ensure sales targets are consistently met or exceeded
- Cultivating new business relationships with senior decision-makers at advertising agencies and marketing firms, and directly with client organisations
- Crafting compelling pitches and proposals that showcase the unique value of National Geographic Traveller (UK)’s offering
- Overseeing the entire sales cycle, from finding new leads to contract closure and campaign development
- Fostering strong working relationships with internal teams, including editorial, design and production
About you
- Previous experience within a media sales executive role or similar
- Previous experience with cold-calling and securing new clients through self-generated leads
- Results-driven, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets
- Able to work well independently and as part of a wider team
- A self-starter and a quick learner, who’s willing to get stuck in
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable speaking with a range of clients at different levels
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in report literacy
- A love of travel and a strong affinity for the National Geographic Traveller (UK) brand
