Marketing Manager 

The Opportunity  

Chaucer is looking for a Marketing Manager with creativity, great initiative, fantastic marketing skills and a positive personality to help drive brand awareness and growth. 

This role is broad crossing digital, events and video marketing, offering the opportunity to get creative and develop.  

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that support the growth and visibility of Chaucer. This role is critical in aligning marketing activity with commercial objectives and delivering targeted campaigns.  

Working with the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will also act as a strategic partner across functions - ensuring that marketing plans are relevant while aligned with Chaucer’s overall brand, values, and global marketing direction. This includes campaign planning, content creation, digital and social activation, events, sponsorships, and PR promotion. 

The role: 

 

  • Social MediaYou’ll need creative copy writing skills across to bring the Chaucer LinkedIn channel to life, ensuring frequent engagement with followers and driving new follower acquisition 

  • Email Management – Delivery of highly engaging email content to external data sources through the automated email platform, adopting best in class data management along the way.  

  • Website – You’ll ensure the website is up to date with latest content and staff joiners. You’ll also be responsible for the website UX, creating an engaging and seamless experience on the Chaucer website through data driven decision making.  

  • Strategy and Planning You’ll support the Head of Marketing in developing and executing the marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with the brand guidelines, and commercial objectives. Identify market-specific opportunities and key client segments to drive targeted growth campaigns. 

  • Events and Thought LeadershipYou’ll be a key support to the Events Manager in pre and post event promotions to enhance brand visibility and foster client engagement.  

  • Digital and Content - Oversee Chaucer’s digital presence, including website content, social media platforms, and email marketing efforts. Utilise marketing automation tools such as Spotler/Gatormail and Google Analytics to monitor performance and refine strategies. Continuously enhance campaigns by leveraging data-driven insights for improvement. 

  • Reporting and Optimisation – Across all elements of the role, you’ll be regularly reporting on results and future optimisations.  

  • Paid Social – Responsible for periodically running paid campaigns across LinkedIn that drives brand engagement and awareness to new audiences.  

  • Brand ManagementIt’s essential that you’re the brand guardian, ensuring that all internal and external creative is on brand.  

  • Promotional Films You’ll need excellent project management and creative writing skills to bring a creative video brief to life, showcasing the best of Chaucer.  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field preferred  

  • Knowledge of digital communication trends and best practices 

Technical Skills  

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) 

  • Experience with automated email software (Mailchimp or similar) 

  • Experience with Google Analytics 

  • Experience running Paid LinkedIn Campaigns preferred
