Channel Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover) We're seeking an experienced Channel Marketing Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract; with a solid background in the trade retail environments such as manufacturing, DIY, electrical, paint, plumbing, or building materials. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive our marketing strategy for our decorating centre network.

Crown Decorating Centres (CDC) provides high quality decorating products and services, catering for both professional decorators and DIY enthusiasts. With a nationwide network of decorating centres, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional products, expert advice, and superior customer service. 

This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about using their marketing, and commercial expertise, to make a tangible impact on our business. Ideally you'd be commercially savvy, experienced in campaign executions at store level, and thrive in a trade environment.

Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to 

  • Develop and implement innovative channel marketing strategies, to drive customer acquisition and retention across the decorating centre network. 

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including commercial and procurement, to align marketing activities with broader business goals and sales objectives. 

  • Analyse sales data and market trends to inform and develop targeted market opportunities and tailor strategies aimed at boosting brand presence and driving growth of product ranges across national or regional needs. 

  • Collaborate with regional and local teams to plan and deliver localised marketing campaigns (in store promotions, digital marketing, events etc.), to increase footfall, sales, and brand awareness, delivering on time, within budget, and with high impact. 

  • Collaborate with sale, product, brand and operations to ensure alignment on product launches, seasonal promotions, and customer outreach efforts. 

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all decorating centres, digital channels, and marketing collateral. 

  • Optimise the customer journey across digital touchpoints to in store experience to ensure a seamless transition.

  • Plan and develop toolkits and marketing resources for CDCs to implement local marketing initiatives 

What should you bring to be successful in this role

  • Knowledge of the decorating, paint, or DIY industry would be advantageous. 

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and initiatives simultaneously. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams and external partners. 

  • Data- driven mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to turn insights into actionable market strategies. 

  • Creative problem solving skills and an ability to think outside the box.
