Role: Marketing & Growth Lead (Contract)
Salary:  £4,000–£5,000 per month depending on experience
Location: Spinningfields, Manchester, M3
Working Schedule: 4 days a week, 1-2x a week in office
Contract: Start ASAP
Contract Length: initially 3 months, could be extended to 6 months, outside IR35

Northcoders Group PLC are seeking a strategic and hands-on Marketing & Growth Lead (Contract) to lead integrated marketing activity across Counter and Northcoders.

Counter is the group’s challenger consultancy brand, supporting organisations with embedded software engineering and digital transformation capability. Northcoders is one of the UK’s leading technology training providers, delivering software engineering and data bootcamps. 

This role will support Counter’s B2B consultancy growth while driving engagement, awareness, and commercial performance for Northcoders’ B2C and employer-focused offerings.
This is a broad senior marketing role requiring someone who can balance:
  • B2B consultancy marketing
  • B2C audience engagement
  • Employer and hiring partner campaigns
  • Content and community growth
  • Commercial lead generation
  • Brand positioning
  • Account Based Marketing
You will work closely with sales, partnerships, technical leaders, and senior leadership teams across both businesses to deliver measurable growth through highly effective multi-channel campaigns. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with strong executional capability and will be comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

What we're looking for
  • Lead marketing strategy and execution across both Counter and Northcoders brands
  • Develop content strategy across blogs, social media and email for both audiences.
  • Create dashboards to report on performance monthly to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders
  • Lead the planning and delivery of a structured programme of owned and sponsored events across both brands, including end-to-end execution and post-event performance analysis.
  • Monitor emerging social and industry trends and incorporate them into strategy where relevant
  • Play a key role in choosing which tactics best match our strategy and target audiences, translating the annual marketing strategy into day-to-day marketing campaigns.

Counter:
  • Develop and execute integrated B2B campaigns for Counter consultancy services
  • Collaborate with technical leads to develop insight-led, audience-relevant content for Counter’s consultancy audience.

Northcoders:
  • Support B2C and employer-focused campaigns for Northcoders training and education programmes
  • Partner closely with the partnerships team to maximise existing audience value and accelerate growth of employer and hiring partner relationships.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience creating successful B2B marketing campaigns across multiple channels and audiences
  • Experience supporting B2C marketing campaigns
  • Account Based Marketing
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing and demand generation
  • Proven ability to create strategic marketing plans and execute campaigns hands-on
  • Experience organising and running events
  • Strong reporting and analytical capability
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • LinkedIn Ads
    • Google Ads
    • HubSpot/CRM systems
    • SEO and analytics
    • Email marketing
    • Social media strategy
    • Content marketing
