As a global market leader, we’ll give you what you need to make it happen. It won’t always be easy, growing takes grit. But at ABB, you’ll never run alone. Run what runs the world.

This Position reports to:

Marketing Specialist

Are you driven by creating real impact and improving performance while supporting a more sustainable future?

Are you looking for an opportunity to grow, working independently while contributing constructively to a highly motivated team? Then this role is the right fit for you!

In this role, you will join a highly motivated and diverse team, supporting the marketing communication needs of the Global Business Line Pulp, Paper & Fiber within the ABB Process Industries Division.

As a Marketing Communications Specialist, you will be a key player in creating, managing, and reviewing programs, messages, materials, and activities that support the global Pulp, Paper & Fiber strategy.

You will work closely with the Business Line Communications Leads to develop, localize, and implement integrated marketing communications programs - including marketing communications, web content, and digital marketing - to educate and inform stakeholders such as customers, employees, trade media, and interest groups about ABB’s portfolio and references.

You will ensure executional excellence across all communications, aligned with brand positioning, identity, and global/local strategy.

The pulp and paper industry is essential in providing the materials required for a sustainable future. It is increasingly adopting electric, digital, and automated technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce environmental impact. ABB is at the forefront of this transformation, driving a safe, sustainable, and profitable future for our customers and society. With 130 years of experience - and the right people working with the right technologies - we collaborate to create sustainable progress for the pulp and paper industry and the planet it relies on. Start your next adventure with us in a pivotal industry shaping our world.

This role contributes to the Pulp, Paper & Fiber segment within the ABB Process Industries Division.

The work model for this role is remote. We offer flexibility regarding the role’s location within Europe. While applications from across the region are welcome, Switzerland is currently not our primary hiring focus.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Supporting the execution of the global marketing and communications strategy and plan, with a strong focus on storytelling, thought leadership, and lead generation and nurturing

  • Developing an active understanding of the Pulp, Paper & Fiber industry, its role and challenges, and ABB’s tailored portfolio in order to design and execute relevant campaigns, stories, and marketing materials

  • Creating, managing, and reviewing programs, campaigns, stories, messages, and materials that support global and local marketing and communications objectives

  • Taking ownership of assigned marketing communications activities across all available channels and tools, following guidelines, directives, and messaging

  • Project managing product launches and material updates, internally and externally, in coordination with product management, agencies, design, and writing resources

  • Demonstrating persistence in securing input and support from sales, operations, and product management to drive content and campaign creation

  • Ensuring consistent brand and Business Line positioning across all materials

  • Designing and developing digital marketing and automation programs to generate and nurture qualified leads

  • Maintaining GDPR-compliant mailing lists and expanding the database with qualified leads

  • Creating and managing newsletters

  • Creating and managing a social media editorial calendar

  • Managing global web pages and internal portals, and retrieving and analyzing statistics such as Google Analytics and social performance

  • Organizing, auditing, and maintaining images/illustrations for ABB use

  • Helping maintain marketing collateral across the portfolio

  • Proofreading all produced materials and writing when needed

  • Analyzing and reporting campaign results and metrics and communicating findings to stakeholders

You will join a business-driven, creative, and high-performing team where you will be able to thrive.

To be successful, you bring:
A minimum of five years of experience in marketing communications, ideally within an agency or a related B2B industry, along with strong project management capabilities that enable you to handle multiple projects simultaneously. You offer excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to explain complex technology in an engaging, accessible way. You bring strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, paired with a creative and innovative mindset that enables you to generate fresh ideas while maintaining consistency with brand and Business Line positioning.

You have a solution-oriented, self-starter mentality and a passion for both strategic and analytical thinking. Your background includes knowledge of digital marketing and marketing automation tools such as Salesforce and Pardot, as well as the business acumen needed to develop a deep understanding of the portfolio and market. You are collaborative, a strong networker, and a supportive team player. Basic familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is considered an advantage.

We value people from different backgrounds. Could this be your story? Apply today or visit www.abb.com to read more about us and learn about the impact of our solutions across the globe.
