Department OverviewEdesix (a Motorola Solutions company) design and produce a range of body-worn video solutions and our VideoManager application to organisations around the world and across a range of industries including:
Police and Security services, Local government, Security, Retail and Transport. To help drive our rapid growth, we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer on a permanent contract and based at our Edinburgh (Bankhead) office.

All candidates will be subject to police NPPV Level 3 vetting, so must have been working in the UK for the last 5 years.
Job Description

This role is primarily 5 days a week out of our Edinburgh office. Some flexibility may be offered on a case by case basis.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will work alongside and support the production and repair sections. 

Working with the NPI team you will introduce new processes to the facility, create any required documentation, source the tooling and fixtures and train the staff.

You will monitor and report on various quality KPI`s and lead process improvements.

The successful candidate will bring an autonomous mindset, work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment using great attention to detail with speed & control being key. 


Basic Requirements

  • Strong industry experience in an Electronics Manufacturing environment
  • Coming from an Electronics background 
  • PCBA & Box Build experience would be highly beneficial
  • Experienced in New Product Introduction
  • Experienced in optimizing & improving processes with a strong continuous improvement mindset
  • Have a strong & methodical way of working
  • Be a strong problem solver
  • Ability to lead a small team, setting daily objectives and monitoring output.

IMPORTANT - This role does require security clearance, you are required to be a UK resident for a minimum of 3 years to be eligible for security clearance.

Hours - Mon to Thurs 7am to 3.30pm, Fri 7am to 12pm
