About the role
We are currently growing our ETRM/CTRM Endur practice and are looking for experienced Senior/Managing Consultant Endur Consultants with expertise in Commodity or Energy markets and Trading and Risk Management System implementations. We are looking for a hands-on Senior Endur Technologist with exposure in different Commodities Trading, who is passionate about technology and has experience developing enterprise-wide solutions. You will be leading the implementation of Endur, bringing SME knowledge in end-to-end system designing, implementing, coding, customising and testing for commodities and energy clients. You will ensure successful project delivery, employing consultancy and project management best practices. In addition, you will be supporting the growth of capSpire’s Energy and Commodities consulting practice area.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands on technical solution definition, design & development role with technical lead responsibilities.
- Work closely with business & technology users to understand their technical requirements and processes.
- Responsible for designing and developing a technology stack, leveraging on a combination of existing platforms and building new strategic platforms.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Endur for all technical aspects for both physical products & derivatives.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge in key modules of Endur and in commodity/energy operations, financial products, risk management and accounting.
- Lead implementation work, carry hands-on project implementation work, including system configuration, coding, customisations, unit/system testing, and production support of the Endur solution.
- Provide guidance & follow coding/implementation best practices, documentation standards, and resolution process flow for all project deliverables.
- Collaborate with the functional team to create customisations & integrations with other systems and applications, based on specific client needs.
- Actively seek to identify and drive improvements and innovation.
- Acquiring domain and technical knowledge to further individual development.
- Work closely with the existing development team to enhance the current Openlink platform, including integrating with the Global Commodities application stack.
- Increase productivity of the technology teams' build and delivery cycles, and design system solutions to maximise operational efficiency of the business processes/workflows.
- Must demonstrate drive and initiative, be goal-oriented, dedicated, and self-sufficient.
- Should be able to work well under pressure, adapt quickly to changing priorities and maintain focus on key tasks during busy periods.
Required Experience, Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- At least 10 years of development/coding experience with 4 years of experience in comparable consulting services
- Strong technical expertise in areas like JVS, Connex Frameworks (including exposure to OpenLink’s development Framework).
- Strong SQL skills (Oracle or MS SQL Server)
- 7+ years’ Experience working with ETRM systems (Endur – OpenLink)
- Service oriented technologies like REST, JSON, Protobuf, Spring Boot, Drop Wizard
- Experience working with at least one object-oriented language, C# .NET, Java
- DevOps best practices using tools like JIRA, JUnit, GitLab, Artifactory, Docker, Kibana, Prometheus
- Cloud – either AWS or Azure exposure and understanding of how it can be utilised in a hybrid environment
- Significant work experience within energy trading and risk management.
- Solid understanding of the energy/commodity end-to-end processes in one or more commodities, Gas, Power, LNG, Emissions, Agriculture/Food products.
