ROLE SUMMARY
The D igital Quality ( DQ) Solution Center delivers advanced solutions that revolutionize Quality, Safety and Environmental Operations within Pfizer Global Supply (PGS). The mission of the DQ Solution Center is to empower and optimize the performance of Laboratory (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) organizations through the automation and implementation of innovative technologies, with a focus on continuous improvement and excellence. The Manager, QA Solution Owner is responsible for leading an agile development team to define and prioritize features along with developing user stories for the eQMS Solution.
They will develop the technical strategy & roadmap for moving the solution towards this vision. The colleague must have a strong CI and Innovative mindset and be comfortable taking appropriate risks to achieve desired results and drive the adoption of new technologies and processes for the solution. The colleague should bring a high level of business knowledge in relation to the QA area and its processes.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager, QA Solution Owner responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead solution ownership for a new or existing eQMS module
- Maintain & prioritize the team user story, enabler & defect backlog
- Collaborate with the QA Technical leads to assess technology capabilities and architecture requirements
- Collaborate and set expectations with business, scrum master and development team
- Collaborate with Deployment lead on pre-deployment & business alignment activities for the eQMS Solution
- Collaborate with Analytics and Reporting team to align delivery of key initiatives
- Manage solution / project deliverables and timelines, including budget
- Manage internal & external resources to ensure Pfizer commitments are met
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Define Vision and Roadmaps for solution needs in collaboration with the Solution Engineering & Integration Lead
- Demonstrate and promote agile ways of working
- Conduct all activities and make decisions that are in accordance with Company policies & SOPs, Pfizer Values, FDA & global regulatory guidelines (including cGMP/cGLP/cGCP), environmental guidelines, as appropriate and where applicable etc.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's BS in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of project management experience
- Experience with Agile, (SAFe preferred)
- Experience within Pharmaceutical QA Operations
- Strong written and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to colleagues at all levels including executive levels
- Ability to train colleagues on innovative technologies and experiences
- Experience in all stages of system and application lifecycle from value analysis, business case development, solution deployment through value realization
- A thorough understanding of system GMP requirements and demonstrable knowledge of computer system design and maintenance lifecycle in GMP environments.
- Strong experience in MS Office Products (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of the Veeva Platform
- Knowledge of financial management and procurement activities
- Knowledge of agile tools (i.e. Jira, Jira Align)
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel up to 20%. Ability to meet with colleagues virtually across different regions and time zones
