Position Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented leader to oversee and elevate our Project Management function. This role is responsible for leading a team of Project Managers, ensuring the successful execution of projects from initiation through completion. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in material handling, a passion for developing people, and a drive for implementing performance-based metrics and processes that advance organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Project Management team, ensuring project milestones are met with a focus on efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement scalable processes and performance metrics that align with business objectives and support continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.
- Empower, mentor, and develop Project Managers to foster professional growth, accountability, and team performance. Build a culture of excellence and ownership.
- Act as a key liaison between project teams and executive leadership, providing regular updates on deliverables, risks, and resolution strategies.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and timely problem resolution.
- Conduct regular resource planning and capacity analysis to effectively assign personnel in a dynamic project environment.
- Ensure compliance with budgets, timelines, and quality standards. Conduct regular project health reviews to track progress and proactively mitigate issues.
- Execute essential administrative and managerial responsibilities, including performance reviews, time and expense approvals, and team development planning.
- Provide guidance and support to Project Managers on scheduling, budgeting, supplier coordination, and customer communications.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proven ability to establish and track meaningful KPIs that enhance project and organizational performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing and developing project management professionals in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep knowledge of the full project execution lifecycle, including sales, estimating, engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Strong background in material handling systems preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Microsoft Project or other scheduling software is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and improve project management processes for operational excellence.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field required.
- Minimum of 10 years of overall project management experience.
- At least 5 years of experience managing and developing a team, preferably in the material handling industry.
The base salary range for this role is $115,900 to $173,800. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
