The Global Ninja Test Kitchen is looking for a Manager, NTK, Global Recipe Strategy to join our vibrant group of global chefs and food scientists. Our team takes a unique approach to product development, blending culinary arts and the science of food. The Ninja Test Kitchen shapes the product roadmap, development and story creation.

The Ninja Test Kitchen is highly collaborative, and team members are expected to contribute feedback and problem-solving ideas across all projects. Team members are expected to have a strong knowledge of the industry, to be familiar with the latest food trends, and to foster a curiosity for product development. The Global Recipe Strategy team oversees the vision for recipe strategy and development for in box and out of box content – including recipe books, brand partnerships, and shoots to name a few. In addition to recipe strategy, this role will work with other members of the London Test Kitchen as UK product experts to enable localization insights early on.

This is a full time position is based in London (Battersea Power Station), with an expectation of  up to 30% travel around the UK/EU, as well as Latin America.


Here are some of the exciting things you will get to do:

  • Provide direction and oversight into the Global Ninja Recipe Strategy for EMEA/LATAM, including but not limited to the creation and execution of go-to-market collateral (in-box, digital and social recipes and inspiration) to support a 5-star consumer experience post-purchase
  • Partner with the cross functional leadership team to ensure recipe strategy is aligned with broader business and schedules
  • Serve as culinary subject matter expert “on the ground” across all functional activities
  • Lead a team of chefs and recipe developers focused on the Ninja Recipe Strategy for EMEA/LATAM, to define recipe strategy that highlight key selling features and prosuct benefits and delight consumers post-purchase. You are responsible AND accountable for progressing, reporting on, and actioning your and your team’s deliverables.
  • Manage and grow team members within the organization– providing guidance on their assigned projects, ensuring product success, supporting professional advancement within their role and within SharkNinja, and holding them accountable to their specific job responsibilities. You will be viewed as a manager who has proficiency navigating people, conflict, and resource management.
  • Conduct competitor product testing to identify key differences in product specifications to support innovation priorities
  • Regularly share product feedback with global teams to ensure real-time inputs are provided at every stage of product development from P-builds to MP
  • Cultivate a network of key experts in EMEA/LATAM through our GEN (Global Expert Network) to ensure localization of recipes and additional culinary focused content for the markets
  • Be called upon to take leadership of larger cross-functional “breakthroughs” that increase executive visibility and accelerate career growth.
  • Assists, attends and presents at internal and external events, as needed.
  • Monitors and researches industry trends on an ongoing basis and brings new ideas to the team.
  • Assist in the shipping of products/samples when needed
  • Other job duties as assigned

 

Here are some of the things you will bring: 

      • 5+ years of related culinary/marketing/management experience or a related field
      • Degree from an accredited Culinary Arts program, or Culinology; Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on Marketing or Communications; or combination of education and experience
      • Prior experience hiring, managing, leading, and goal-setting with team members
      • Ability to effectively “manage up” by communicating your top priorities and constantly seeking feedback on your and your team’s work product
      • A mindset geared toward building relationships across multi-functional teams, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills
      • Highly-effective communication skills – both written (presentation/email) and in-person (ability to host succinct, effective conversations that solve problems and ability to make effective presentations to all levels of management, including SharkNinja’s executive leadership team)
      • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
      • Good balance of strong strategic, critical thinking skills and being detail-oriented
      • A desire to learn and grow in a passionate environment.  The ability to embrace transparency and shifting priorities while learning from each decision and focusing on the path forward
      • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
      • Resourceful, well-organized, highly dependable, efficient, and detail-oriented
      • Ability to be a team player as well as work independently
      • Comfort with international hours – role may be joining calls with teams in other parts of the world
      • Recipe development and food writing experience
      • Desired but not required: Bilingual (Spanish/English)
      • Willingness to travel up to 30%
