YOUR IMPACT 

The Manager of Migration Engineering will lead a team of skilled engineers responsible for the seamless migration of applications, data, and infrastructure from competitive platforms to our flagship product. This role involves strategic planning, team and people management and taking responsibility over the migrations technical leadership ensuring successful migration projects, being the number one priority of the company. 

  • Lead and manage a team of migration engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.

  • Establish team goals, performance metrics, and professional development plans.

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

  • Develop comprehensive migration strategies and roadmaps.

  • Oversee the execution of migration projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align migration activities with business objectives.

  • Provide technical leadership in the planning and execution of complex migration projects.

  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to streamline migration efforts.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to migration processes & tooling.

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their migration needs and requirements.

  • Communicate migration progress, challenges, and successes to stakeholders.

  • Identify and implement best practices for migration engineering.

  • Continuously improve migration processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with migration projects.

  • Develop contingency plans to address potential migration challenges.

  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and organizational standards.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Experience in IT/Engineering or development, with time in a leadership role.

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale migration projects.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering successful migration projects.

  • Proficiency in migration tools and technologies.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

  • Knowledge of database migration and ETL processes.

  • Experience with Java Development, Architecture and/or frameworks.
