About Finance at THG

About the Role
THG is looking to recruit a Assistant Financial Controller to work within our Fulfilment Department. You will play a vital role in the provision of information to the Senior Management team and to the Group.
Responsibilities:
- Reports to Head of Finance - Fulfilment with a dotted line into the Site leads.
- Daily finance support to local warehouse management team by tracking actual labour costs by department and challenging any variances.
- Daily reporting into the central fulfilment team on warehouse performance.
- Help drive efficiency on site through analysis and understanding of warehouse KPIs.
- Preparation of monthly and weekly cost forecasts for the warehouses and presenting them to the senior finance and operation teams.
- Involved in preparing fulfilment pricing for 3rd party clients.
- Responsible for producing the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts for the UK warehouses alongside the local management team.
- Work closely with the divisional stakeholders and communicating any variances to the forecasts.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and source data controls.
- Support for month end processes and the annual external audit.
- Ensuring the data in forecasts, P&L’s and reporting is accurate and understood.
- Any other ad-hoc projects / duties required by the finance team & other internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Part Qualified and actively studying CIMA / ACCA / ACA or recently qualified.
- Previous experience of warehouse / logistics / production sectors.
- Prior knowledge of using excel and finance systems is a must.
- Comfortable with data manipulation and complex reconciliations.
- Good team player, able to work as part of a team, as well as on their own.
- Has the ability to learn quickly and take proactive approaches to their work.
- Proven ability to manage a busy workload whilst working to strict deadlines
- Self-motivated and driven.
