Role Purpose

As the Logistics Network Design Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of the company’s future logistics network. You will ensure the network supports growth, transformation, and operational excellence while driving efficiency and delivering measurable business benefits. In this role, you will manage a team of analysts, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and turn long-term forecasts into actionable strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team responsible for logistics network design, planning, and optimisation.

Develop and implement the company’s future logistics network in line with strategic business goals.

Ensure optimal network solutions are in place to support growth, transformation, and operational resilience.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to translate long-term forecasts into actionable strategies and initiatives.

Build comprehensive business cases to support strategic decisions and guide investments.

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service across teams.

Shape and evolve the network strategy by staying informed on industry trends, innovations, and best practices.

Adapt strategies in response to business performance and changing market conditions.

Use data-driven insights to guide decisions and ensure commercial outcomes are achieved.

 

What You’ll Need

Proven experience managing teams in logistics, network planning, or supply chain strategy.

Strong knowledge of logistics network design, capacity planning, and end-to-end supply chain operations.

Strategic thinker with experience translating long-term forecasts into actionable programmes.

Commercially aware, with the ability to build robust business cases and use data to guide decisions.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience adapting strategy to changing business conditions and driving continuous improvement.

Strong analytical skills and a practical approach to problem-solving.

Up to date with industry trends, innovations, and best practices in logistics and network optimisation.
