Job Summary

Assumes responsibility for processing Legal Servings delivered to Flagstar Bank and Flagstar Financial Investment Group. Ensure that all legal servings are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
Payrange $23.73 - $30.26 - $36.78

Pay Range: Local Minimum Wage - $0.00 - $0.00

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receives and process a high volume of legal processing delivered to Flagstar Bank and its Subsidiaries.

  • Ensures all legal processing are properly received by Flagstar Bank, drawn up and addressed to the company/subsidiaries and delivered to the Legal Processing area.

  • Searches and identifies responsive accounts; restrain or freeze funds as required by law.

  • Prepares all documents required to be re-produced by the legal serving (i.e. bank statements, transactions, records, etc.).

  • Organizes and maintain files related to the legal processing, including information regarding delivery, response and all actions taken.

  • Communicates, provide updates, obtain information regarding legal processing from various internal & external sources (PCGs, Attorneys, Government Agencies, etc.).

  • Packs and moves archive boxes; bate stamp documents.

  • Prepares reports for management as needed.

  • Answers court appearances when necessary.

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.

  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings.  Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent 

  • Minimum experience required: 1+ Years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum experience preferred: 1+ Years legal processing experience

  • Banking procedures/regulations a plus

Job Competencies:

  • Banking systems & imaging software

  • Good communication

  • Work well under pressure

  • Detail oriented, organized

  • Able to handle sensitive/confidential information (professionally)

  • Work independently

  • Meet deadlines, multitask, prioritize

  • Physical demands (ADA): The job requires a moderate degree of physical exertion and stamina such as standing, sitting, walking, driving or infrequent lifting.
