What is the purpose of this role?

Legal Counsel to provide legal support and advice across the ANS business, offering key support to our internal corporate and commercial stakeholders as we seek to deliver our strategic objectives. The role will also work closely with the other members of the legal team. 

What will I be doing? 

  • Managing and working independently on your own pipeline of commercial legal work including drafting, negotiating and closing commercial agreements with customers and/or customer’s legal advisers (in support to Account Managers and the Sales team), complex data protection agreements, partner and supplier agreements
  • Drafting terms for the launch of new products and product offers and collaborating with the product and marketing teams on launch
  • Reviewing and inputting into Service level agreements for new products
  • Dealing with such legal matters as may come up during the course of the ANS business, including supporting HR on legal matters, Litigation, debt recovery and general legal advisory and any special projects
  • Pro-actively mitigating the Company's legal risks
  • Developing and/or updating relevant corporate templates
  • Drafting, reviewing and evaluating internal policies and other legal documents as may be necessary
  • Supporting the compliance team on ISO audits 

What will I bring to the role? 

  • This role would require a period of significant demonstrable experience in a law firm and/or in-house in commercial or company/commercial law  
  • You’ll be approachable and will be part of a friendly and welcoming Legal team 
  • Demonstrable strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • A desire to understand the technology around cloud would be an advantage
  • Previous exposure to broad areas of corporate affairs (e.g. HR matters, business disputes, compliance matters, etc.) 
  • Proven ability to contribute as a team player whilst simultaneously working independently
  • Customer focused

  • You will have an ability to see beyond the legal role, balance legal and commercial considerations, simplifying and communicating in a straightforward and pragmatic way.
  • You will be happy and able to work independently, while respecting reporting procedures and recognising there are senior team members to consult.
  • You will be resilient and enjoy working in a fast paced and dynamic sales environment.
  • You will have the ability to work to and consistently satisfy deadlines.
  • You will have excellent attention to detail.
  • You will be extremely organised with strong planning skills.
  • MS Office skills are essential

What is needed to do the role? 

As a guide we anticipate you would be qualified as a Solicitor with significant demonstrated experience in a law firm and/or in-house including via SQE in commercial or company commercial law. This is a just guide given the nature of the role.
