We’re looking for a UX designer to help build and refine the future of Flexera’s SaaS Management offering. In this role, you’ll be part of a globally distributed team of interaction designers and user researchers, working to develop the future of Flexera experiences.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for partnering with PM on product requirements and vision, creating high-quality mockups, and leading the work of the 3-person SaaS Management design team. This technical leadership includes tasking, managing the team’s work via JIRA/scrum, running design reviews, and managing the designs through delivery.  You will be defining and executing at a strategic level while providing direction and oversight that positively impact our customers’ product experiences.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with product managers and engineering to design and deliver solutions that effectively achieve Flexera’s business goals and ensure a satisfying our user experience.
  • Take ownership for UX design process throughout a project, involving and engaging key stakeholders in a cross-functional team.
  • Lead design activities (research, ideation, iteration, specification, etc.) and report on progress, blockers, and other concerns to the UX Design Director or VP of UX.
  • You will work closely with people in the UX team to complete discovery, ideate on solutions, and iterate with stakeholders and users.
  • Give strong design direction and support and execution to other designers on the team
  • Mentor other team members in the user experience design process. This may involve assigning tasks, providing guidance, and fostering collaboration.
  • Execute the strategic goals of UX, UX initiatives within the organization to align with company vision and mission.
  • You will speak with users to understand pain points, workflows, and validate early solutions to prioritized work. Where appropriate you will also seek out data to help make decisions.
  • You will maintain Flexera’s standard for consistency and quality across projects and product areas.
  • You will help break down complex problems into a solvable and deliverable scope of work.
  • You will work closely with a team of front-end engineers to ensure what is designed is what gets built up with quality and to spec.

What you bring:

  • A portfolio showcasing relevant UX design work (flows, wireframes, prototypes, etc.), the rationale behind them and the ultimate results. In addition, showcase your experience in design leadership
  • Strong communication in English, collaboration, and facilitation skills and a willingness to use them
  • Excellent time management skills and a proven ability to manage workload across multiple projects
  • Experience working with a cross-functional team of UX designers, product managers, and engineers on a B2B SaaS product
  • Passionate about diving into complexity and delivering with continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in Figma, Confluence, Jira, Scrum, MS Teams
  • Strong understanding of atomic design systems, why they’re used, and ability to think about your work through a design system lens
  • A working familiarity with semantic HTML, CSS, and React-based UI component best practices
  • 8+ years of UX design experience
  • Bachelors degree in Design, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Anthropology, Psychology, Sociology, Business or related field preferred.

Bonus points for:

  • Familiarity with cloud, SaaS, and/or on premises IT asset management concepts
  • Ability to plan and scope work that leads to meaningful customer value
  • Experience with web and accessibility standards
  • A Masters in Design, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Anthropology, Psychology, Sociology, Business or related field preferred
