Position Overview:
Ameresco is recruiting a Junior Project Manager to support the implementation team with the delivery of housing projects in Bristol. Through the Bristol City Leap partnership Ameresco is working closely with Bristol City Council to upgrade its own housing stock as well as upgrades to Privately owned and rented properties.
The type of upgrades we are installing including Insulation, Renewable technologies and heating upgrades (low carbon solutions) in line with PAS2035 and current building standards.
Role and Scope:
Our projects divisions covers all aspects of delivery of energy projects for the public sector, industrial and commercial clients.
The Junior project manager will be expected to work in areas covering Solar, heat pumps, CHP, biomass, refrigeration, HVAC, lighting, boilers, LED, compressed air, control schemes and Pas2035 retrofit projects.
The Junior project manager will assist and support a project manager within Ameresco in delivering and implementing projects.
The Junior project manager will have a good level of technical expertise, have a sound track record, and the role will involve complex project duties and business support activities.
The Junior project manager will be required to work on a variety of projects at any one time depending on the size and scope of the work.
Typically, the Junior project manager will:
Identifying, implementing and complying with applicable technical, safety, environmental and quality standards, company procedures and policies and other relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
Where required, lead/perform feasibility studies and liaison with designers, engineers, safety case specialist, contractors and regulators as required.
Prepare and maintain project documentation including project scope, quality plans, risk and change registers, contract early warning and change control and other project documents required.
Support with collating and preparing CDM documentation for projects.
Provide project management support to the project implementation team throughout the implementation period.
Assemble and coordinate project resources.
Support managing the project budget.
Plan and schedule project timelines.
Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
Quality assurance.
Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
Project evaluations and assessment of results.
Continually review new and existing technical developments to ensure sustainability for client's developments.
Manage Contractor's activities in line project requirements and company procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
Relevant project management qualifications and/or degree in relevant field, or currently studying for relevant qualification.
Experience gained from public sector, construction or renewable energy.
Detailed understanding of project managing issues and processes.
Experience of working in CDM type projects.
Experience in risk management.
The ability to think analytically, with the ability to critically assess requirements and select "best fit" approach to meeting company and client objectives.
Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels in order to achieve project targets and represent the company in a professional and highly competent manner.
IT literate with demonstrable Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel/spreadsheets, Power point, Outlook and MS Projects.
Full UK driving licence.
