About the Role

As an IT Apprentice you will be supporting a diverse team on site with day-to-day IT issues. These are typically second line support issues needing a little more focus. You will also get the opportunity to provide remote support to users across the UK and get involved with project work. This is a great opportunity to commence a career in IT, learning from experienced colleagues combined with academic learning.

What You Will Do

The IT Apprenticeship blends college and work-based learning. Whilst at work you will have the opportunity to put your learning into practice with the support of a knowledgeable and experienced team. Your days will be made up of providing support to the site users, managing service requests logged on the company’s IT Service system and assisting with managing the local network, servers, and infrastructure, including rollouts and installations. You will also have the opportunity to get involved with projects which may involve travel to other sites across the North West.

You will work to obtain a nationally recognised apprenticeship as an IT Apprentice. Working Monday to Friday you will spend four days on site and one day per week at our partner college – Trafford College.

Who You Are

To be considered for this role you will

  • Have 5 GCSE's grades 5 / C and above, including Maths and English
  • Demonstrate an interest in IT with curiosity to learn
  • Have strong computer literacy
  • Be customer focused
  • Have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Be highly motivated
