The Impact
- Support the portfolio team's demand intake process, including triage, discovery, and stakeholder engagement to ensure accurate and complete data capture.
- Analyze rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimates, CBAs, project approval, and funding data quality to support informed decision-making.
- Partner with ETX stakeholders to facilitate portfolio prioritization and maintain the prioritized project portfolio list with budgeted costs.
- Oversee financial review processes, ensuring business case integrity and benefits realization.
- Provide financial and data/demand capacity reporting to Portfolio Leads, both monthly and ad hoc.
- Partner with SFBP to deliver financial insights and drive governance across ETX.
- Govern data in source systems and create ETX-wide reporting.
- Support organizational realignment and process optimization initiatives.
- Roll out new capabilities to Delivery Leads and Project Managers.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience in IT portfolio management, demand/capacity management, and financial oversight.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to trend and analyze project and portfolio performance.
- Demonstrated ability to help facilitate schedule/resource conflicts and forecast delivery risks.
- Experience with Clarity PPM, including forecasting, resource management, and reporting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and inform stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for financial modeling and executive reporting.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau for data visualization and performance tracking.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Engineering, Economics, Finance, or Information Technology.
- 5+ years of experience in IT portfolio, program, or project management.
- Experience with financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Familiarity with any enterprise portfolio management tools (e.g. Clarity PPM).
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g., root-cause analysis, value-stream mapping).
- Deep understanding of IT Portfolio management practices to support business operations and strategy.
- Strong governance and data management skills.
- Ability to independently manage a portfolio of projects with varying complexity.
- Drive ongoing improvement for measurable results.
- Advanced skills in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, macros), PowerPoint (e.g., executive storytelling), and BI tools (e.g., dashboard creation in Power BI/Tableau).
