About the Role
We are recruiting an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure & Security team.
This is a hands-on generalist role covering endpoint management, Microsoft 365, identity, networking and infrastructure support. You will administer a range of core infrastructure platforms and act as the first IT infrastructure escalation point for the Service Desk.
Key responsibilities
- Administering Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID, including Microsoft Teams and telephony
- Managing patching and software deployment
- Supporting Azure Virtual Desktop
- Supporting network switching, wireless and firewall infrastructure
- Diagnosing and resolving connectivity, performance and VPN issues
- Carrying out routine network and firewall changes
- Working closely with the Service Desk on escalated incidents, providing technical support and knowledge transfer
- Triaging infrastructure alerts and incidents
- Supporting Windows Server and Active Directory
- Maintaining technical documentation and operational runbooks

About You
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in an infrastructure engineering or advanced 2nd/3rd line role
- Strong Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID administration experience
- Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and VPNs, with the ability to troubleshoot complex connectivity issues
- Experience with enterprise switching and firewall platforms
- Experience supporting Windows desktop and server environments across on-premises and cloud-hosted infrastructure
- Practical PowerShell scripting experience
- A structured troubleshooting approach and the ability to see issues through to resolution
- A security-conscious approach to infrastructure administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable experience
- Cisco CCNA and/or Fortinet NSE4/FCP certification
- VMware vSphere
- Experience with enterprise security tooling and security best practices
