This role provides essential financial and administrative support to the International Director of Finance (based in the UK) for our global operations, spanning multiple countries, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, India, Singapore, and the UK.

As a key member of our global finance team (with operations in the UK, India, and the US), this individual must be highly adaptable, detail-oriented, and team-focused. A hands-on approach and a willingness to take on tasks of all sizes are essential to ensuring smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance:
    • Gather and compile financial data for external accountants to facilitate the completion of local statutory accounts and tax returns.
    • Support the annual audit process for the parent company and local entities in the US, UK, Singapore, France, Denmark, and India.
    • Maintain an internal compliance tracker and ensure timely filing of all regulatory requirements across various jurisdictions.
  • Tax & Regulatory Filings:
    • Review and analyze VAT/GST on global invoices and expense reports; ensure timely submission of returns.
    • Assist with US state and federal filings, as needed.
  • Payroll & HR Support (UK Focused):
    • Work closely with HR to process UK payroll accurately and on time.
    • Manage UK payroll using online software providers.
    • Handle UK pension administration and monthly compliance filings.
    • Assist with annual P11D and PSA filings.
    • Act as a key point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related queries.
    • Maintain PTO trackers in line with local labor laws.
  • Accounting & General Ledger Management:
    • Ensure an efficient month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
    • Record payroll activity in the general ledger, book accruals as needed, and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Ad Hoc Support:


This position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-driven finance professional to contribute to a dynamic global finance team, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across international financial operations.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3  year of International accounting experience, preferably in an Global Outsourcing company
  • Accounting Qualification (e.g ACA, ACCA, CIMA is desirable)
  • Experience in accounting software (e.g., Sage) and Microsoft Excel would be preferable.  
  • An entry level understanding of US GAAP and UK GAAP.
  • Strong work ethic with professional demeanour and attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail is a must
  • Strong problem solving and data analysis skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
