Job DescriptionWe are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Internal Sales Manager to lead our internal sales team and drive origination performance across our active pipelines. This role is central to converting leads into funded deals by managing team activity, maintaining momentum with clients and introducers and ensuring a high standard of customer engagement.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong sales acumen, excellent people management skills, and a track record in meeting and exceeding targets within a financial services environment.
As an Internal Sales Manager, we are looking for someone to:
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of internal sales professionals, conducting regular 1-2-1s, performance reviews, and development planning
- Oversee the end-to-end sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate forecasting, and efficient progression of deals
- Proactively engage with clients, brokers, and introducers via phone and email to convert
- opportunities, issue terms, and secure commitments
- Set and monitor individual and team KPIs, including call activity, conversion rates, and deal progression
- Identify barriers to conversion and implement strategies to improve win rates and reduce drop-off
- Work closely with underwriting, legal, and operations teams to ensure a smooth client journey from application to drawdown
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reporting to senior management on pipeline health and team performance
- Contribute to sales strategy, process improvement, and training initiatives to enhance team effectiveness
Skills & Competencies
- Able to develop successful working relationships and build trust and confidence with intermediaries
- Ability to multi-task to ensure SLAs are met.
- Confidence to pursue leads and use sales techniques to overcome objections.
- Proven experience in sales management within financial services, property finance, or a related sector
- Strong track record in target-driven environments with experience in internal sales or tele-sales leadership
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Confident user of CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to motivate and develop a team while maintaining high personal activity levels
- Self-starter with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge & Qualifications
- Previous experience within a sales role would be highly desirable
- Knowledge of bridging finance required
- PC Literate with a good knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
