JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Energy and Industrial Automation team has a fantastic opportunity available for an Intern to join our Grid Code compliance team in Madrid for 1 year. As an Intern, you'll provide vital support to both Laboratory Engineers who are testing a range of power converters in the lab, and to our Project Engineers who work closely with the customer to ensure the successful delivery of their projects.
This is a great opportunity for you to take your 1 st step on the career ladder in the world of safety testing and certification. Not only will you gain hands-on, real world testing experience in a laboratory, but you'll also gain experience of working directly with high profile customers across Europe.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand the characteristics of the product to be assessed, the different standards and the applicable requirements
- Learn how to develop test plans
- Learn how to use different testing and/or simulation software
- Witness testing and/or simulation processes
- Learn how to evaluate the results obtained and write test reports
- Perform comparative studies of standards
- Learn how to manage projects and deal with clients
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current study in industrial/electrical/energy engineering
- Knowledge of electrics is key, with the ability to understand converters, PPCs or photovoltaic/wind power plants
- A passion for solving problems and resolving technical issues
- An interest in project handling/ project management would be highly beneficial
- Ability to work independently whilst also being able to work in a team environment
