Rapid7 is seeking an Information Security Project Manager who will be a critical element of our mission to bridge the gap between effective strategy and execution.
About the Team
The Information Security Program Management Office is at the forefront of driving projects and initiatives that strengthen our security posture and elevate customer confidence in Rapid7 products. We lead with transparency and data-driven decision making, manage the effective delivery of business outcomes, and contribute to continuous program maturation through standardization and iterative improvement.
About the Role
This role will work with highly engaged and capable teams to implement complex, cross-functional initiatives. An ideal candidate will have a strong servant-leadership mindset and a well equipped toolkit of project management methodologies and best practices, with a demonstrated record of effectively managing scope and driving outcome delivery.
In this role, you will:

  • Drive discovery, requirements gathering, and solutioning for security-related projects.
  • Develop clear and actionable project plans and schedules.
  • Carefully document and manage project milestones, deliverables, deadlines, and scope.
  • Ensure project risks are raised early and often, and lead discussions around mitigation strategies.
  • Own critical communication and resolution for issues that introduce risk or critical path disruption.
  • Maintain project roadmap, dependencies, risks, and OKRs proactively.
  • Collaborate with Security PMO to ensure projects are prioritized accurately and resource allocation is up to date.
  • Strengthen Security PMO through adoption of common project artifacts, processes, communications protocols, and tooling.


The skills you'll bring include:

  • 1-2 years of project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills and experience with facilitating cross-functional collaboration and developing partnerships across functional areas.
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies and demonstrated understanding of the SDLC.
  • Fluency with a standard suite of project management tools, particularly JIRA & Confluence.
