The Finance Team includes Finance Business Partnership, Accounting, Finance Operations, Financial Systems, Internal Audit, Tax, Treasury, and Investor Relations teams. Together, the team partners with leadership to provide insights, information, and guidance to make strategic and operational decisions, inform investors about our business model and progress, and ensure the company is financially healthy and consistently meeting our reporting obligations.

We’re looking for a world class Indirect Tax Analyst to join the Snap Finance team!  Working from our London office as a member of the Snap Tax team, you’ll collaborate with other groups within Team Finance to support our global tax accounting and compliance functions, implementing process improvements and best practices within the tax operations group. 

What you’ll do:

  • Support our international indirect tax accounting, compliance and controversy activities  

  • Support and help implement global e-invoicing directives and digital record keeping requirements

  • Assist in identifying, managing and implementing indirect tax opportunities for the business

  • Assist with internal control compliance efforts, including enhancing control framework and coordinating quarterly testing of controls

  • Help research indirect tax issues, including applicability of digital services taxes, non-resident VATs and withholding taxes

  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of indirect tax software 

  • Assist with the implementation of automation initiatives to increase the efficiency of the indirect tax compliance process

  • Assist in managing third-party vendors, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with indirect tax requirements (VAT, GST, DST) including applicability of VAT on transactions, VAT invoicing requirements, VAT report maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, and reverse charge disclosures

  • Self-starter who can operate effectively and accurately in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment

  • Strong work ethic and ability to skillfully manage large teams of third-party advisors and competing priorities across multiple jurisdictions

  • Detail oriented with strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communicator with desire and ability to build relationships

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field, or equivalent  experience

  • Minimum 1 year PQE (post qualification experience) in a Big 4 public accounting firm or tax department of a multinational company.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA/Chartered Accountant or equivalent

  • Tax Qualification

  • Experience using Oracle ERP
