The Human Resources Business Partner collaborates with management and employees to align HR strategies with business goals. They provide proactive HR support and drive tactical execution in partnership with the HR Coordinator in the functional areas of employee relations and performance management, benefits management, leave and accommodation, talent management and organizational development, ensuring a positive workplace culture and effective HR practices. The HR Business Partner serves as a connector between leaders, employees and HR, fostering communication and driving HR initiatives to enhance overall company success.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Support onboarding, training, and ongoing skill development of direct reports.
- Conduct regular check-ins to support performance, development, and accountability.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Coach and mentor the direct reports on business related items
- Promote consistency, collaboration, and professionalism with the HR team.
- Provide input on performance evaluations, goal setting, and development plans.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Essential Functions: Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders to support a people-first approach in achieving the company’s strategic objectives
- Build trusted relationships with employees to deliver value and drive the employee experience
- Drive culture in line with business goals and objectives through in-office programming, supporting committees, participating in CSR/ESG programming, and supporting leaders and employees in employee recognition
- Track KPIs and metrics designed to tell the story of Human Resources’ impact on the organization
- Lead and/or support AI and automation efforts both within Human Resources and in the broader business
- Administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits and retirement plans, and leave; Affirmative Action Plan; disciplinary matters; performance management; talent review and succession planning; workforce planning; employee feedback/pulse surveys; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
- Manage employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, partnering on complex and/or sensitive matters with the EVP, People
- Support accurate payroll processing by partnering with the HR Coordinator to complete the payroll tracker and review/approve payroll for assigned business units
- Create and deliver training to support growth and development of leaders and employees. Coach leaders and employees in their professional development.
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments in partnership with the HR Coordinator. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law
- Support employee offboarding including facilitating exit interviews and managing termination forms and processes in partnership with the HR Coordinator
- Support the candidate interview process, as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Prior experience managing a HRIS infrastructure, such as Workday, ADP WorkforceNow or Deel

Education and Experience:
Required:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable role
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably Business Administration or Human Resources. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Preferred:
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) Certification
- Experience in a B2B and/or SaaS business environment
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with an office position that involves standing, sitting, reaching, manual dexterity to operate office machines, stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, and mobility to complete errands or deliveries
- May work at computer monitors for prolonged periods with danger of eye strain and muscle pain
