Job Title: HR Generalist, Italy 

 

Location: Italy (Remote) 


As the first Human Resources employee in Italy, this individual must be a strong self-starter with a growth mindset. This individual will support with establishing all Human Resource practices in Italy, in partnership with the wider HR team. This role will partner directly with cross-functional teams to support the stores across Italy. This role will involve building out the People processes, policies, and compliance across the Italy market. You will support a growing workforce while aligning HR practices with business objectives and ensuring compliance with local labor laws. 


The position will be full time, with a fixed term of 12 months, and will include a probationary period with a duration in line with the provisions of Italian laws and the CBA.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Create key Human Resources practices to support the employee lifecycle in Italy, inclusive of Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding, Employee Development, Employee Relations, Employee Experience, Health & Safety, and Compliance 
  • Conduct investigations into complex employee relations issues and partner with business leaders on resolutions
  • Support local recruitment efforts for all levels and build tools for future effectiveness 
  • Ensure adherence to local labor laws, maintain accurate records, and generate reports as required 
  • Provide support, thought partnership and coaching to management and employees on human resources related matters, policies & procedures, and employment law
  • Assist in payroll processing and benefits administration 
  • Launch North American HR initiatives and programs across the stores in Italy to ensure consistency across the organization 
  • Identify training needs and implement development programs. 


Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Bi-Lingual in English and Italian 
  • 3+ years HR Generalist Experience 
  • Expert knowledge of local labor law and ability to advise on practical application
