FISKARS

Human Resources Generalist

Location: Middleton, WI

Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

At Fiskars Group, we’ve been shaping daily life through design, craftsmanship, and innovation for over 375 years. From our iconic orange-handled scissors to world-renowned brands like Gerber, Iittala, Royal Copenhagen, Waterford, and Wedgwood, our purpose is clear: to create a positive, lasting impact on everyday life.

We’re looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team in Middleton, WI. This role is a true generalist opportunity—supporting employees and leaders across HR programs including employment law, compensation, benefits, staffing, onboarding, training, and employee relations. If you’re energized by being a trusted first point of contact, driving efficient processes, and contributing to a positive workplace culture, this could be the right fit for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the front-facing HR partner, providing day-to-day support to employees on policies, pay, benefits, and HR procedures.

  • Conduct new hire onboarding and orientations, process employee data in the HRIS, and ensure smooth transitions for new team members.

  • Maintain accurate HRIS records (Workday, UKG), generate reports, and assist with system-related needs.

  • Partner on employee relations by addressing concerns, coordinating employee engagement activities, and promoting a positive work environment.

  • Support local staffing efforts, partnering with the global Talent Acquisition team as needed.

  • Manage compliance reporting including AAP, EEO, and VETS requirements.

  • Coordinate service award programs and support other employee recognition initiatives.

  • Serve as a contact for the emergency response system and safety committee.

  • Provide ad hoc reporting and project support for HR managers and leaders across the U.S.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field; PHR certification a plus.

  • 3-5 years of HR generalist or HR support experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with HRIS systems; Workday or UKG preferred.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust at all levels.

  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to balance multiple priorities.

Why Join Us?
