About this role

Role Focus 

  • The Global Head of Clients for Private Data Services owns external client strategy and senior relationships across Limited Partners (LPs), General Partners (GPs) and BlackRock for Private Data Services. 

  • This role ensures that LPs can maximize value from Private Markets Managed Data Services (including eFront Insight and integrated Preqin capabilities) while nurturing and growing the data contributed by GPs. 

 

Core Responsibilities  

1. Global Account Management 

  • Oversee Account Management team, responsible for owning client outcomes across onboarding, client experience, service quality, and value delivery 

  • Serve as executive face of the business, and develop deep relationships with management at clients. 

  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex, highrisk privatedata client issues. 

 

2. GP Engagement 

  • Lead GP engagement strategy to expand privatemarket data coverage through managed services. 

  • Build out scaled onboarding and relationship model to deepen connectivity with GPs. 

  • Drive industry adoption of data and reporting standards to increase transparency. 

 

3. BlackRock as User/Provider 

  • Face off to BlackRock internal teams to ensure best user of Private Data Services.  

  • Drive adoption and value recognition of new services. 

  • Create practitioner-level connectivity between BlackRock and key clients. 

 

4. Client Strategy 

  • Define client strategy based on client feedback, industry trends, and business objectives. 

  • Partner with Business Development teams on new prospect and existing client opportunities. 

  • Interact with Product, Engineering and Operations teams to execute on delivery of new capabilities and services. 

 

Executive Profile – Ideal Candidate 

Experience 

  • Senior leadership background in private markets, alternatives, or managed data services 

  • Proven ownership of enterpriselevel client relationships with asset managers, pension funds, insurers, or institutional investors 

  • Experience navigating commercial growth alongside data sensitivity, regulatory expectations, and licensing constraints 

 

Capabilities 

  • Strong executive presence and client credibility 

  • Excellent judgment balancing client demand with risk and governance constraints 

  • Ability to influence platform and operatingmodel decisions without owning execution teams 

  • Comfortable representing a complex, multiproduct ecosystem externally 

 

Leadership Style 

  • Clientfirst and outcomeoriented 

  • Clear boundarysetter with peers 

  • Commercially minded, but trustanchored 

  • Comfortable operating at Managing Director level across regions
