Role Overview:
We are seeking a visionary Head of AI to lead our AI strategy, drive product innovation, and enhance our competitive edge through advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions. The role holder will play a pivotal role in shaping our AI vision, strategy, and execution. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and team leadership to guide the development and integration of AI solutions across our product suite. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Product Marketing to deliver impactful AI-driven features that enhance user experiences and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
AI Strategy & Vision:

Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with business objectives.

Identify opportunities to leverage AI for product innovation, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
Leadership & Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI researchers.

Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Product Development & Integration:

Collaborate with product managers and engineers to integrate AI features seamlessly into our SaaS products.

Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI solutions, from research and prototyping to deployment and scaling.
Technical Excellence & Innovation:

Drive the development of cutting-edge machine learning models and algorithms.

Ensure the robustness, scalability, and security of AI systems.

Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies and trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Leverage AWS AI and Workday AI services
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

Communicate complex AI concepts and solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Collaborate with executive leadership to define AI priorities and influence product roadmaps.
Required Experience:
-
Proven experience in leading AI initiatives within a SaaS or technology-focused company.

Experience in designing and delivering AI in a responsible and ethical way, whilst also understanding the commercial implications of design decisions.

Proven experience of being responsible for different sizes and shapes of challenges, e.g. AI/ML service, multi-team programme, data platform, complex data migration.

Strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, or related fields.

Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire technical teams, driving a culture of innovation and impact, whilst also coaching and mentoring a wider community.

Can prioritise non-functional concerns and has experience incorporating these into the application design.

Understands whole solution architecture concepts and can communicate and negotiate these with senior stakeholders.

Experience in deploying AI models at scale in cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Track record of contributing to or leading open-source AI projects or publications in reputed conferences.
