Global Sales and Marketing - Corporate Commodity Sales - Analyst
Job Description
Are you ready to start your career in the fast-paced world of commodity sales? Join our Corporate Commodity Sales Desk based in London, where you will help clients across the EMEA region (excluding EU27). After initial training, you will quickly take on responsibility for day-to-day client interactions and the execution of commodity trades. You will engage with a diverse range of clients, including Commodity Producers, Consumers, Refineries, and Tradehouses, collaborating with our trading and research partners to provide comprehensive client coverage.
As a Global Sales and Marketing - Corporate Commodity Sales - Analyst on our Corporate Commodity Sales Desk, you will be at the forefront of commodity sales, engaging with a diverse range of clients across the EMEA region. You will quickly take on responsibility for day-to-day client interactions and the execution of commodity trades, providing comprehensive client coverage in collaboration with our trading and research partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute trades, including pricing, booking, and order taking.
- Provide general sales support across the desk.
- Identify market drivers and integrate market language into your vocabulary.
- Develop a cross-product skill set by learning about other markets and products.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform well under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Interest in macro and micro drivers of financial and commodity markets.
- Proficiency in Excel and ability to quickly learn internal models for pricing derivatives.
- Superior attention to detail and excellent presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- A good degree and evidence of strong numerical aptitude.
- Experience in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Language skills are a plus.
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
