We are now seeking a Senior Global Finance Reporting Manager to shape the future of our global finance reporting landscape.
About the Role
This is a senior, high‑visibility leadership position responsible for defining, developing, and optimising Freshfields’ global finance reporting strategy. You will lead the evolution of our reporting frameworks, data governance, analytics capabilities, and reporting systems, ensuring our finance insights are robust, scalable, and aligned to the firm’s strategic goals.
Working at the intersection of Finance, Technology, Data and senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in modernising the way the firm manages financial reporting, analyses performance and enables strategic decision‑making.
You’ll also lead and develop a high‑performing global team, championing innovation, consistency, and continuous improvement across all finance reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Shape and execute the firm’s global finance reporting strategy underpinned by innovation, quality, and data‑driven insights.
Serve as an advisor to CFO and senior leadership on reporting technologies, data strategy and analytics opportunities.
Build, mentor, and inspire a global reporting team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
Reporting Ownership & Optimisation
Lead the full lifecycle of management reporting, KPIs, dashboards, forecasting outputs and analytics tools.
Establish global reporting standards, frameworks, templates and robust governance.
Drive automation, consistency, and continuous improvement to enhance report accuracy, speed and insight value.
Data Governance & Analytics
Lead the firm’s finance data governance framework, ensuring accuracy, quality, integrity and security.
Enable advanced analytics, BI dashboards and actionable financial insights using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Collaborate with Technology and Risk teams to ensure compliance with global data privacy and cybersecurity standards.
Stakeholder Partnership
Act as a trusted business partner to global Finance, IT, Data, Risk, HR and senior operational leaders.
Ensure reporting solutions align with both global standards and local statutory requirements.
Translate complex data into clear, meaningful, executive‑ready insights that support strategic and operational decision‑making.
Transformation & Change Management
Lead global initiatives to modernise reporting, leveraging emerging technologies including AI, RPA and advanced analytics.
Drive change management activities to support adoption of new systems, processes and reporting tools.
Oversee major platform enhancements, system integrations and vendor relationships.
About You
Experience & Expertise
Significant leadership experience in finance reporting, analytics and technology within a professional services or partnership‑model organisation.
Strong track record of delivering global transformation initiatives and modernising reporting platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, OneStream).
Skilled in BI tools and data modelling (Power BI, SQL, Tableau, etc.), with a deep understanding of data governance best practices.
Strong knowledge of core finance processes (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report).
Expertise in legal/professional services metrics such as revenue, profitability, realisation, billing and working capital.
Leadership & Behaviours
A collaborative, inclusive leader with proven experience building high‑performing global teams.
Excellent communicator able to influence senior stakeholders with clarity and credibility.
Comfortable navigating complex environments and driving initiatives across matrixed global teams.
