Responsibilities
- Publish an average of two articles per week, ranging from short commentary to in‑depth features on key mutual fund and ETF trends.
- Build and maintain a strong network of expert commentators and industry sources.
- Develop narratives around emerging investing trends, anticipating shifts in flows, performance patterns, strategies, and notable product launches.
- Regionalize and adapt stories written by colleagues in other bureaus for local‑language publication.
- Review and edit translated content to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with Morningstar's editorial standards.
Qualifications
- Passion for writing about investing and financial markets.
- 3+ years of journalism experience covering markets or investing, ideally with exposure to asset managers and funds.
- Strong news judgement and an eye for timely, relevant story ideas.
- Demonstrated writing skills capable of engaging both retail and professional audiences.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver same‑day turnaround when needed.
- Curious, creative thinker with a collaborative, team‑oriented approach.
- Comfortable using Excel and open to learning new databases or analytical tools.
- Business fluency in French, Dutch, German, Italian, Swedish or Spanishis a plus.
