The Role:
 

The Web Developer (WD) is an essential role within our Global Services organization with the responsibility of delivering customer-focused projects. The WD ensures that the interactive communication scenarios sent out to customer contacts by email, mobile push, SMS and over the web run faultlessly. The WD uses web development skills to put these campaigns together in Marigold tools.

To be successful as a Web Developer you will need to be customer focused, technically minded, strive for continuous improvement, able to build and utilize your own personal network to achieve your goals, have proven problem-solving skills and have an excellent eye for detail to ensure the highest quality of delivery for our customers.

What You'll Do:

  • Be a power user of the Marigold’s platform and understand the basics of digital marketing programs.

  • Confidently and proactively communicate with project managers, engagement managers and/or clients and partners to ensure that tasks are executed correctly and on schedule.

  • Efficiently troubleshoot and diagnose potential issues with developments and campaign content, leveraging the Marigold platform.

  • Excellent understanding of underlying consumer data that powers a client’s program and how to access it within the Marigold platform; ability to then explain this understanding to stakeholders, empowering them to further develop their programs.

  • Translate new business use-cases into technical data requirements.

  • Estimate scopes for project work based upon requirements.

  • Willingness to collaborate with other team members, taking on new assignments as instructed with a positive, can-do attitude.

What We’re Looking For:

  • University degree (Business, Computer Information Systems, or similar degree preferred) or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency

  • 4+ years of experience working in a technical role is preferred

  • You have experience in SQL, database-driven websites, ASP.NET, PHP

  • Must have experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript

  • Familiarity with SOAP APIs, REST APIs, XML/XSL and integration techniques

  • Sufficient communication skills to consult with marketers about campaigns based on your strong internet knowledge.

  • Ability to collaborate with local and remote teams in different time zones

  • Fluent English

Nice to Have:

  • Fluent Dutch

  • Knowledge about responsiveness (web and email) and Photoshop basics and slicing

  • Experience in the digital marketing industry and Loyalty industry is strongly preferred
