We are BOB, a hybrid L2 to build and launch Bitcoin applications. Our mission is accelerating the world’s transition to a fair and transparent financial system through Bitcoin as a credibly neutral, global settlement asset. We believe in a world with access to finance for everyone, everywhere, in a secure and usable manner.
Your job will be to build and extend the current BOB UI as well as other apps. The apps will interact with REST APIs and blockchains including BOB, Ethereum, Bitcoin, and others. You will implement features that will improve the UX for users and fix bugs. You are passionate about providing the best user experience and are keen to learn new technologies to improve the Web3 experience.
What you will do
- Architect and build apps, components and pages. Integrate tests for existing and new features.
- Work with the UX and design teams to build new apps and components, and improve existing ones.
- Work with the backend and dev ops teams to define and integrate APIs and other services.
- Optimize the user experience by improving existing flows and integrating new tools.
- Integrate analytics to help the product team understand limitations and issues with the user experience.
- Review pull requests and give constructive feedback to refactor/improve our current implementation.
- Engage in discussions and prepare demos with the core team on partner requirements and feature roadmap.
- Five years or more of building scalable, secure, and efficient front ends with Typescript and React (or similar frameworks).
- Highly proficient in core frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScrip.
- Five years or more of interacting with REST APIs, GraphQL.
- A deep interest or experience with Ethereum, EVM, subgraphs, and Web3.
- Experience of working in cross-disciplinary teams: back end, UX and design, dev ops, product.
- Familiar with Git, CI/CD pipelines and testing methodologies.
- Great communication skills in a remote setting.
Nice to have
- Experience with Bitcoin.
- Experience with Viem, Wagmi, Web3.js, Ethers.js, or similar libraries for blockchain interactions.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (e.g. Cypress).
- Contributions to open-source projects.
- Monorepo experience (preferable Turborepo).
