Job Description

We're now recruiting a Fraud Analyst to support the Financial Crime Manager and wider business in Fraud related matters. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the various Fraud typologies and current Fraud trends impacting financial institutions and consumers. They will also have experience of investigating Fraud cases through to resolution.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities: 

  • Carry out investigations in relation to Fraud and report to the relevant external body such as the NCA, FCA, CIFAS and Action fraud as agreed by the Financial Crime Manager/MLRO.
  • Transaction Monitoring
  • Support the wider business with financial crime related queries
  • Liaise with Law Enforcement organisations in relation to financial crime related requests for information
  • Keep up to date with ongoing fraud trends
  • Work with the Financial Crime Manager to review/ improve and implement Fraud controls
  • Produce fraud related MI
  • Support with the development and delivery of fraud training for the wider business

Capabilities, knowledge, skills and experience required: 

  • Experience of working within a financial crime prevention role 
  • Experience in understanding and investigating fraud
  • Good knowledge of financial crime regulation, including the Fraud Act 2006
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Strong prioritisation skills and ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Communication skills are imperative to the role, both written and verbal, with both customers and internal/external stakeholders
  • Take ownership of specific technical queries/issues through to resolution
  • A team player
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
