Job Description

Position Purpose

This position is a key player in the delivery and execution of Group FP&A activities including but not limited to strategic planning, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, standard business performance reporting and other business support & analysis activities to support the businesses reporting requirements.

A key focus area for this role will be to provide financial business partnering to several key Corporate cost centre owners, as well and providing support to the general FP&A team (timely reports, insight). Cost centre support includes (not limited to) Legal, HR and Transformation. 

This role will also support the Finance Transformation Senior Manager, with the evolving finance deliverables required in the Transition from Phase 2 to Phase 3 of our Global Transformation.

Key Accountabilities

Executive Insight:

  • Support the routine and ad hoc preparation of the Group’s financial reports, providing financial analysis and insights into the monthly & quarterly financial performance and assisting management with its production. This will include compilation of detailed analysis packs, reports, including scorecards and supporting the production of broader performance reporting. The process involves liaison and coordination with the multiple business units across the Group
  • Develop and manage analytical tools, reports and models to ensure accuracy, clarity, simplicity and relevance to support executive decision making. Review group and Transformation reporting metrics to ensure clarity of definition, relevance and consistency.
  • Support in the governance, controls and process of data capture, ensuring validation and accuracy of information, applicable to cost centre management & the development on the Enterprise Programme Performance framework

Planning:

  • Budget and long-term planning – co-ordination and preparation of the planning cycle in conjunction with Group requirements and timelines, working closely with corporate finance, business units, Group Transformation Finance. This includes process development, guidance and execution of the planning process.
  • Forecasting – presenting, preparing and analysing quarterly forecast updates to leadership. Consider and present implications compared to previous expectations.
  • Strategy – provide support to the Finance Transformation Senior Manager, in understanding key business drivers and latest financials around Strategic Enterprise programme including any risks and opportunities for delivery against our Global Strategy.
