Duties & Responsibilities:
High Level:
Responsible for financial reporting to management, as well as compliance with government regulations for UK and Ireland.
General/Corporate Reporting:

Responsible for ensuring that the financial processes, systems and controls are operating effectively for UK and Ireland. Preparation and review of the company's financial statements (US GAAP and local GAAP) to ensure they are accurate and issued timely.

Management and supervision of the local Accounting Team as well as responsibility for oversight of AR, AP, Fixed Assets, and GL transactions processed by team members in global shared services center (GSSC).

Timely and accurate preparation of Month-end and Quarterly reporting for Group Headquarters including Income Statement and Balance Sheet Flux and other Ad hoc reporting/analysis.

Timely preparation of Quarterly/Annual Tax Package for Corporate Tax Team. Includes working with Corporate Tax Dept on long-term tax planning strategy and forecasting.

Management/supervision of UK and Ireland Payroll Function and coordination with HR.

Responsibility for Annual Budget & Forecast of local finance department costs.

Ensure proper implementation and maintenance of processes in compliance with Corporate Policies (i.e., Banking, Procurement, Credit & Collection, Authorization Limits).

Project management of process changes, policy updates, process improvements programs and system implementations.

M&A due diligence and integration for acquisitions or divestitures within UK and Ireland.

Representative for Finance across all departments of the organization, as well as external parties such as vendors and customers.
Local Compliance:

Responsibility for driving accurate and timely filing of: 1) Statutory Financials, 2) Tax Returns, and 3) R&D Tax Credit. Includes ensuring local accounts are in compliance with tax, accounting, government regulations.

Coordination of audit and SOX requirements with local, internal and corporate auditors.

Pension accounting and reporting and compliance with PAYE.

Oversight of timely filing/reporting for VAT, local Tax duties and various other local reporting requirements.
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Degree in accounting or finance, and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Chartered Accountant (CA).

Excellent staff management skills/background.

+5 years of experience working as Country Financial Controller.

Strong communications skills.

Project management skills for various change management/process improvement initiatives.

Proven ability in working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

Strong IT skills – (i.e., ORACLE, Excel, PowerPoint, Essbase, OBIEE).
