Northland Controls is seeking a motivated and analytical Financial Analyst to join our Finance team in Letchworth, UK. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in our global finance transformation through the implementation and ongoing development of NetSuite Planning and Budgeting (NSPB). Working closely with Finance, Operations, IT, and business leaders, you'll help build the planning, forecasting, and reporting capabilities that support informed decision-making across our global organization.


As a Financial Analyst, you will deliver meaningful financial insights, improve planning and reporting processes, and help drive continuous improvement across the business. What You'll Do

  • Analyze financial results, operating trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support monthly reporting and business decision-making.
  • Prepare financial reports, management reporting packages, forecasts, and analytical presentations for senior leadership.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, budgets, forecasts, and scenario analyses that support strategic planning and business performance.
  • Evaluate capital expenditures, depreciation, profitability, and other financial drivers to provide actionable business insights.
  • Research economic and business trends that may impact financial performance and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Identify financial risks, opportunities, and performance trends that improve operational and financial outcomes.
  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration of NetSuite Planning and Budgeting (NSPB) as part of the company's global ERP transformation.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, IT, and external implementation teams to optimize budgeting, forecasting, planning, and reporting processes.
  • Support ERP migration activities, including data mapping, validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), end-user training, and post-implementation support.
  • Manage the annual Global Cross-Charge process, including quarterly recalculations and reporting in accordance with transfer pricing agreements.
  • Collaborate with regional Managing Directors, Tax, Compliance, and Audit teams to support global financial reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and enhance reporting, financial processes, and ERP functionality.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen reporting capabilities, improve data governance, and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Support special projects and other Finance initiatives as assigned.

 

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in financial analysis, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting, or corporate finance.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, financial modeling, reconciliations, and data analysis.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Oracle NSPB, or another ERP and financial planning system is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial and operational data and translate findings into meaningful business insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Finance, Operations, IT, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
