About the role
We have a fabulous new opportunity for a highly skilled and forward-thinking individual to join as a Financial Accountant for TMS (Total Marketing Support), a unique and growing division of DS Smith PLC, a renowned packaging and display manufacturing company.
This is a brand-new role within the team and perfect for someone looking to use their experience to step into an in-house role.
Supporting the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant would be assisting with all management and financial reporting, ensuring the financial information contained therein is of high quality and accurate. They would also be responsible for working with the Finance Team to review and improve financial controls and processes and support the team during internal and external audits.
As this role works across the TMS, Division and Group Finance Teams, the ideal candidate would be able to work with a variety of stakeholders and present information in a clear, concise, and accessible manner. This role is ideal for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their skills in a dynamic and growing business.

About you
- Relevant financial experience and qualifications (ideally ACA/ICAEW preferred)
- Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and driven to succeed
- Ability to analyse and dissect information and present results in a logical and understandable format for all
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior level
- Constructive challenger with a proactive and solution-focused approach
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a dynamic environment
- Advanced Excel proficiency
Location: This is a full time, hybrid role with 2 days on site (one of which is Tuesday) at our offices in Manchester.
