Job Description

This hybrid role offers a great balance of home and office working. You’ll join your colleagues in our London office at least 2 days a week.

As the UK’s largest fibre-only network, and its only proven wholesale challenger, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.

Designed from scratch for the internet, our network is greener, more reliable and ready for the future. The products we provide over it not only lead the market on speed, value and service, they help businesses to innovate, provide entire communities with a better foundation for their digital lives and support economic growth, locally and nationally.

What does that mean for you? The opportunity to make internet connections (and daily life) a whole lot better, for a lot of people!

Joining us as a Financial Accountant - Financial Reporting

Join our team as a key contributor to the year-end statutory reporting and audit process, while actively participating in ad-hoc projects such as financial due diligence. You will provide expert technical accounting guidance to the broader finance team, helping to drive the implementation of strong accounting policies and processes that will support our rapid growth.

You’ll receive a competitive salary, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Main point of contact during audits, handling queries and preparing supporting schedules
  • Prepare financial statements and contribute to overall financial statement preparation
  • Ensure compliance with and implementation of accounting policies and standards
  • Manage key areas of the monthly management reporting process
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects, including financial due diligence
  • Provide technical accounting support and drive continuous improvement within the accounting team

What you’ll bring to the role

As a qualified accountant from a reputable, large-scale audit firm, you will have a strong foundation in accounting, audit, and project management and have experience and drive to contribute to a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll also have:

  • Proven track record in coordinating audit project management, managing timelines, and collaborating across departments
  • Skilled in ensuring tasks are completed on time and escalating issues where necessary
  • Experience in preparing statutory accounts and financial disclosures
  • Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues, auditors, and other stakeholders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced Private equity owned firm or familiarity with mid-sized companies similar to CityFibre
