Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Universal Pictures International (UPI) is the International Distribution and Marketing division for Universal Pictures. In UK, Austria, Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, Koreas, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and China, UPI directly markets and distributes movies through its local offices, creating campaigns and release strategies that respond to the culture and market behaviour for those territories. Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with different departments locally (Marketing and Sales) to keep track of P&A budget (Prints and Advertising) and actual expenses
  • Collaboration in the reporting to Head Office, running reports and analysing the data with SAP and other systems
  • Assist with month-end/quarter-end processes
  • Review of expense reports using the tool CONCUR
  • Supervision of invoices accounting
  • Follow up of AP (Accounts Payable) and AR (Accounts Receivable) outsourced activities, producing daily reports and analysis of KPIs
  • Assist with external, internal, statutory, tax and title audits
  • Customer and vendor balances reconciliation
  • Assist with any other ad hoc projects


Qualifications

  • University studies must have been finished less than 3 years ago
  • University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Economics (University Diploma or Certificate will be requested)
  • Fluent in Spanish & English
  • Good track record as a team player
  • Ability to cope in a fast, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours with tight deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and can-do attitude
  • Ability to self-motivate and a drive to deliver
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Written and verbal communication skills, and ability to analyse and present financial data
  • Keen interest in film & the entertainment industry
