Finance Operations Manager

This is a great job for someone who possesses business insight, coupled with excellent project management / facilitation skills, and knowledge of the finance function.

A bit about the job:

The Aviva Investors Finance team holds a leading role in building and running a financial framework that links Aviva Investors strategy, operations, resource allocation and performance management.  The role is primarily focussed on ensuring robust Finance operations including MI, Board, SMF and reporting responsibilities whilst driving delivery of the Finance change agenda. The Finance Operations Manager makes sure that appropriate systems, practices, and controls are in place to enable the Aviva Investors CFO and Finance Management Team to discharge their regulated accountabilities and drive market leading performance. The role holder is primarily focussed on scheduling the timely delivery of CFO reporting and actions to ExCo, governance committees, Boards and Aviva Group.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Good understanding of the risk and control environment, and the ‘Senior Managers and Certification Regime’ (SM&CR) given the regulated nature of the CFO role.

  • Strong ability to influence and communicate across the business, and resilience to resistance from collaborators.

  • Ability to make decisions, use independent judgment, establish priorities, and work effectively on multiple initiatives.

  • Capacity to consider, process and filter large amounts of complex information quickly and identify appropriate actions.

  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills, including expert skills in MS Office packages.
