As the Events & Marketing Executive, you will support the delivery of Capital Economics’ global events programme and assist with key marketing operations. You will play an important role in coordinating and executing a high volume of in-person and virtual events, helping to ensure a smooth and professional experience for clients.
Alongside events, you will support marketing processes such as campaign coordination, CRM activity, lead management and reporting. This role is well suited to someone highly organised, detail-oriented and keen to build experience in marketing operations and events.
Event Coordination & Delivery
- Support the planning and execution of in-person and virtual events across EMEA, APAC and North America.
- Own event setup, including website content updates, invitations, RSVP management, and maintaining accurate event details in CRM systems.
- Coordinate event logistics, including venue sourcing, supplier coordination (e.g. catering, A/V), branded materials and budget tracking. Liaise with finance to ensure timely processing of invoices and act as the main point of contact for external event queries.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Marketing and Economists to deliver and promote events effectively across channels, managing timelines and checklists to ensure deadlines are met.
- Lead on-the-day delivery for events (all virtual and in-person for London), and coordinate with colleagues in Singapore and Toronto to support delivery of overseas events.
- Manage post-event activity, including follow-up communications, attendance tracking, feedback collection and internal reporting on event performance.
- Support coordination of Capital Economics’ participation in external events and conferences.
Marketing Support
- Support CRM-led marketing activity, including building and sending email invitations and campaigns.
- Work with the wider marketing team to coordinate campaign activity across channels such as email, website, and LinkedIn.
- Help monitor and maintain SalesWings activity, including supporting lead tracking, scoring, and campaign targeting.
- Provide administrative and operational support for broader marketing initiatives as needed.
Reporting & Insights
- Own event reporting, tracking performance metrics such as registrations, attendance, and engagement, and sharing insights internally.
- Support the production of regular marketing performance reports, ensuring Salesforce dashboards are accurate and up to date, and liaising with Product teams to resolve any issues.
- Monitor marketing data across systems, ensuring consistency between CRM data, website engagement and webinar platforms, maintaining overall data accuracy to support reliable reporting.
- Identify and flag trends or anomalies in event and campaign performance, supporting continuous improvement through actionable insights.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience delivering in-person and virtual events.
- Strong organisational, project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud or email automation tools.
- Experience using webinar platforms (e.g. ON24, Zoom or similar) desirable.
- Confident copywriting skills for emails, event invitations and other marketing content.
- Comfortable using digital channels such as LinkedIn, email and web platforms to support marketing activity.
