About the role:

The Events Manager will be responsible for planning and executing internal and external events and webinars, and support marketing post-event activities that align with the overall marketing strategy to support business objectives. 

This role will help drive the execution of our events strategy, along with promotion and tactics for both in-person and digital events. They will also manage to a team of events executives located globally, providing strategic and hands-on mentorship and leadership to help them achieve their goals.

With creativity and resourcefulness in organising and hosting successful events, the role will promote Euromonitor International’s products, its spokespeople, engage with clients, inspire confidence in our brand, and communicate our business messages to internal and external stakeholders. 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Global Head of Events to develop the strategy and associated deliverables; 
  • Research, recommend, and prioritise new growth opportunities and enhance existing events to maximise ROI and brand awareness; 
  • Manage and coordinate physical and digital events including topic development, technology requirements, invitation and registration support, content delivery, and reporting; 
  • Conduct market research on platforms, venues, content, and speakers, and negotiate agreements; 
  • Ensure Euromonitor's representation at high-quality conferences;
  • Support lead generation efforts through internal and external events and correlate revenue to support growth; 
  • Report on the performance of internal, external, and virtual events; 
  • Work closely with commercial and research leadership teams to define strategies for identified targets, and assess priorities to target the appropriate audience; 
  • Manage projects to ensure major event milestones are met and delivered according to project schedules; 
  • Propose ideas to improve events quality and act as a consultative partner to various departments in Euromonitor; 
  • Proactively manage issues and troubleshoot before, during, and after events; 
  • Conduct pre-and post-event evaluations and report on outcomes; 
  • Perform other duties as requested by Marketing-Communications leadership; 
  • Occasionally provide colleagues with local language support through events team-members for better localisation of content and to generate greater marketing engagement at a local or regional level. 

What you’ll bring:

  • Extensive experience in planning and coordinating events and conferences; 
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment with a strong capacity to lead multiple, high-priority projects, handle tight deadlines on a daily basis and work cross-functionally; 
  • Events lead for programme execution working across teams and divisions, meeting facilitation, internal communication, timeline management and post event reporting; 
  • Experience with venue capacity management; 
  • Excellent and creative negotiation skills; 
  • Results-oriented, customer driven and organised with a keen eye for the bigger picture and strong interpersonal skills that are effective at all levels of a multinational organisation; 
  • Ability to assess and prioritise workload in a strict deadline-oriented environment; 
  • Exceptional time management, communication, organisational skills and professionalism required for executive-level meetings; 
  • Experience with SalesForce a plus and knowledge of Monday.com and Microsoft applications; 
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Other languages an advantage.
